Ba: Do you watch TV, Nga?

Nga: Not often. There aren't many good programs for teenagers.

Ba: What kinds of programs do you like?

Nga: I like to watch programs about teenagers in other countries. I want to know what they do, what they wear, what music they like ...

Ba: There are some programs for young people.

Nga: But older people make them. They don't know what we like.

Ba: I like sports shows, cartoons and movies.

Nga: I don’t really like watching sports -1 prefer taking part in them. And most of the movies on TV are very old.

Ba: There are plenty of music programs.

Nga: Yes, there are. But they don't play the kind of music I like.

Ba: What are you going to do this evening?

Nga: Well, I’m not going to watch TV. I'm going to listen to the radio and maybe read a book.

Ba : Mình thích các chương trình về thể thao, phim hoạt hình vả phim.

Nga : Mình thật sự không thích xem thể thao. Mình thích chơi thể thao hơn. Và hầu hết các phim trên tivi đều rất cũ.

Ba : Có nhiều chương trình ca nhạc mà.

Nga : Ừ, có đấy. Nhưng họ không chơi loại nhạc mà mình thích.

Ba : Vậy tối nay bạn định làm gì?

Nga : À, mình sẽ không xem tivi. Mình sẽ nghe đài phát thanh hay có lẽ mình đọc sách.

Lan: It starts at seven o’clock, after the program ”The world Today" at a quarter past six.

Ba:  And what about the weather forecast? What time is it on?

Lan: It’s on at ten past six. But we should watch our children’s program. It starts at five.

Ba:  Ok. That sound great.

Popular TV programs

Pop music

Pop music, or pop, is the short form of ‘popular music'. Pop music is for a broad audience. Teenagers like to listen to the latest pop music and see the shows of their favorite artists. Usually, bands and singers perform their latest songs on TV.

Contests

Contests are very popular TV programs. There are contests of knowledge, contests of folk music, games, sports and so on. The contestants are students, workers, or family members. In some contests, TV viewers can join in and answer questions through telephone or by mail.

Imports

Imports are foreign series such as Sherlock Holmes. Most imports include police and hospital series. TV stations all over the world show these programs because they can buy them cheaply.

Nhạc pop

Nhạc pop hay pop là từ viết tắt của “popular music”. Nhạc pop dành cho thính giả phóng khoáng. Thanh thiếu niên thích nghe nhạc pop gần đây nhất và xem những màn trình diễn của các nghệ sĩ mà họ ưa thích nhất. Thường thường các ban nhạc và ca sĩ trình diễn các bài hát mới nhất cùa họ trên TV.

Phim ngoại nhập

Phim ngoại nhập là phim truyền hình nhiều tập nước ngoài, chẳng hạn như bộ phim Sherlock Holmes. Hầu hết các phim nhập bao gồm loại phim hình sự và bệnh viện. Các đài truyền hình trên khắp thế giới chiếu các chương trình này vì họ có thể mua chúng với giá rẻ.
